Best Finish: 21st

"Track position is super important at a place like Chicagoland. The banking isn't quite as steep as some other intermediate tracks, which should open up the opportunity for passing. I'm confident that we can get our No. 34 Love's Travel Stops Ford in good shape to see speed and maneuverability this weekend. We're bringing back the camouflage scheme from Memorial Day Weekend, honoring Chief Warrant Officer 2 Jonathan Farmer once again, and the Special Forces Charitable Trust. We'll do everything we can to give them a great finish.”

No. 34 Love's Travel Stops Ford Mustang
Started: 13th | Finished: 25th

"It was a frustrating day here at Sonoma Raceway. Our Love’s Travel Stops Ford qualified really well inside of the top 15, but we battled a tight race car early on in the race and had two spinouts, causing us to pit under green and get off sequence from the rest of the field. I was able to test in Chicago a few weeks back, so I’m just ready to get there next weekend and try to deliver a strong finish for our No. 34 Love’s Travel Stops team."

Best Finish: 14th

"I've been looking forward to heading to Sonoma for a while, and getting back to my road course racing roots. I cut my teeth racing at Sonoma and it's a place where you are really in control of your own destiny, especially if you have the speed. It's a challenging place where you have to think about a lot of different things all at once... handling, opportunities to pass and braking zones. Plus, adding the carousel back raises the level of difficulty. I'm confident that my guys have put together a great car this weekend and I think we have a good chance of taking our Love's Travel Stops Ford to Victory Lane.”

No. 34 Melling Performance Ford Mustang
Started: 23rd | Finished: 27th

"Tough day for our No. 34 Melling Performance Ford Mustang. We had a Top-20 car all day long, but had a loose right front wheel late in the race and had to pit under green, which put us down a lap to where we were not able to make it back up. It was really special to have Melling Performance on our car this weekend for my 300th Cup start and I look forward to hopefully having them back on board with us in the near future."

Familiar Company to Help Support No. 34 Ford
MOORESVILLE, N.C. (June 5, 2019) – Melling Engine Parts, a leader in manufacturing cutting-edge performance engine parts, will partner with Front Row Motorsports (FRM) and Michael McDowell this weekend for the “FireKeepers Casino 400” Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway.

Based in Jackson, Mich., Melling serves the global transportation original equipment and aftermarket segments and is noted for its world-class engineering, product development, and distribution capabilities. Melling operates seven facilities: five in North America, one in Mexico, and one in Europe.

The Melling family is one of the most popular families in NASCAR. Patriarch Harry Melling started Melling Racing in 1982 and won the 1988 Winston Cup Championship with famed driver Bill Elliott. The team also won the first ever “Winston Million” with Elliott in 1985. Son Mark Melling, who owned and operated Melling Racing from 1999 to 2002, currently runs Melling Engine Parts and is happy to be back on track.

“We’re thrilled to have an opportunity to get involved in NASCAR again,” said Melling. “Teaming up with Michael and Front Row Motorsports gives us the chance to stay close to our racing roots while promoting our performance engine parts brand.”

“It’s so cool to have Melling on board this weekend,” said McDowell. “They have a long and rich history in the Cup series, so I’m excited that they’re getting involved again. To have the name ‘Melling’ on our car so close to their home base really means a lot.”

The No. 34 Melling Engine Parts Ford Mustang will make its debut at Michigan International Speedway on Friday, June 7 for practice and qualifying. The “FireKeepers Casino 400” Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race will air Sunday, June 9 at 2:00 p.m. ET on FS1.

No. 34 Dockside Logistics Ford Mustang
Started: 28th | Finished: 20th

"We had some ups and downs today. We made some good changes, got up in the top 20 and then took some damage with lapped traffic which knocked the nose of our car in and that hurt us. But my team worked hard, we were able to get back on the lead lap, fell back into position and earned a top-20 finish, which is something to build on. I’m really proud of everybody’s hard work."
