Ragan on Martinsville"With the lights going in now, I think it would be cool to race there once a year under the lights and once during the day. I kind of like what Richmond has done where we have a day race and a night race. I do like the tradition of the day race, and the lights will give you extra time in case you have any weather issues.
"Martinsville is one of my favorite tracks. It’s got a lot of old-school feelings associated with it, seeing a lot of the sights and sounds as you’re driving up to Martinsville and arriving at the racetrack. And for me, being a short track guy, I enjoy the beating and banging. We really have to work hard on forward drive and getting our Camping World Ford to roll through the center. I feel like I can help a lot more at a racetrack like Martinsville because I have a good feel for it."

Ragan on Fontana"Auto Club Speedway is one of those tracks that just continues to change and get better with age. I’ve been around this sport for over 10 years now. It’s funny to see how tracks had been perceived when I first came on board and how we raced versus how we do today. So, it definitely is a moving target. You can run all the way below the yellow line and all the way to the top. It’s got four or five grooves that you can find speed in, and it’s turned out to be a great racetrack for all the series that run out there.
"It’s a unique track with very long straightaways, and it doesn’t have a lot of banking. But you fly into those corners. Tires are very important. I think the stages will allow for somebody to short-pit and get some fresh tires to try to make up some ground to potentially win one of those segments. So, you may see some different strategies in play, and our Camping World team could certainly take advantage of opportunities like that." No. 38 Jacob Companies Ford Started: 34th | Finished: 35th (crash) “Really Trevor Bayne is the one that is kind of to blame. He tried to wreck Danica (Patrick) three of four consecutive laps, and I was kind of a result of their shenanigans. They were bouncing off each other, and I tried to go low and made contact with Matt DiBenedetto and had a tire rub. I was going to come in that lap, but we just cut our tire. I am proud of our Jacob Companies Ford Fusion team. They worked hard and we had a decent car today. We struggled some on Friday and Saturday, but we made some good gains. We have a lot of racing left this year." Ragan on Phoenix"Phoenix is a unique little place. It’s kind of hard to get a handle on. You race like you’re on a short track. You’re on the brakes a lot, forward drive’s important and you really need to roll the bottom. But the second lane is coming in. The asphalt’s maturing well. Goodyear’s been able to adjust the tire compound a little bit and bring some softer tires, so it lays more rubber down."
"For our Front Row Motorsports team, we’re going to have Jacob Companies on our Ford Fusion for their first race, so that’s going to be exciting to get out there and see how our short-track, one-mile program stacks up." Meet David Friday, March 17, 2pm - Youth Autograph Session (Phoenix Raceway Midway, Inside Gate 4, wristbands to first 120 kids)
STATESVILLE, N.C. (March 10, 2017) – Front Row Motorsports has another new partner on David Ragan’s No. 38 Ford for the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season. JUICE® Battery (www.juicebattery.com), a new consumer household battery brand, will be a primary partner for three races with Ragan’s team, beginning this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
JUICE, a Florida-based consumer battery technology company, is making its NASCAR national series debut with Front Row Motorsports to coincide with a March launch of its new game-changing batteries. Ragan and the No. 38 team will promote the company’s new batteries at two additional races – at Bristol Motor Speedway in August and Talladega Superspeedway in October. “JUICE is launching new batteries built for today’s generation of high-demand devices this week in Las Vegas and NASCAR fans are the ideal high-octane audience to introduce them to,” said Brent Meikle, founder of JUICE Battery. “Front Row Motorsports is a challenger brand just like us and we are going to work well together,” Meikle added. “They have a history of making headlines and getting attention for their partners, so we’re excited to be part of the team. Our official launch has begun and we hope to expand our partnership with Bob Jenkins and Front Row Motorsports as more consumers and retailers ‘Get Juiced’ throughout 2017.” A 10-year veteran of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, Ragan knows that NASCAR fans are an ideal target audience, typically offering enthusiastic support for team partners. “NASCAR fans are very loyal, and they will go out of their way to support team sponsors,” Ragan said. “Our fans use a lot of battery-powered devices as they follow our sport whether they’re at the track, at home or on the go, so we’re eager to help get the word out about JUICE’s technology.” To learn more about JUICE, visit juicebattery.com. About JUICE® JUICE® is a new consumer battery brand that is officially launching March 2017 to coincide with the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race in Las Vegas, Nevada March 12, 2017. The Brand features new Hybrid Rechargeable battery technology combining the convenience of yesterday’s alkaline batteries with the power of today’s rechargeable mobile batteries. They are ready to use right out of the pack and retain their charge during storage similar to an alkaline battery. Yet they last up to four times longer than an ordinary alkaline battery in today’s high drain devices and they retain higher discharge voltages for optimum device performance. They can also be charged and replayed up to 1500 times in as little as 40-minutes at any USB power source just like a smartphone. Ragan on Atlanta"The racing is always great at Atlanta Motor Speedway, and I've been competing here since I was 11, 12 years old. Atlanta's got perfect track conditions. It's worn out so that Goodyear can bring an aggressive tire so you can go really, really fast the first eight, 10, 12 laps of a fuel run. But then the last 10, 12, 15 laps, your tires are very worn out, you're slipping and sliding around, and that makes for good passing and multiple grooves.
"I understand they need to repave after a while, but I think the technology they have now will allow the track to get back to the way it was in just a couple years. I think the race is going to be great for the final time on this surface. It's going to be fun. And we'll have Camping World back on our Ford Fusion for the second straight race. They're a great new partner, jumping in with both feet, and we're happy to have them on our No. 38 at my home track." Meet David Sunday, March 5, 11:10am - Folds of Honor QuikTrip Fan Stage |
