24 Starts | 2 Top-10
Best Finish: 7th

"I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do in our No. 38 Ford at Texas with the new rules package. We've learned a lot running the aero ducts and the tapered spacer earlier this season, which I think will help us see some good speed this weekend.”

Ragan Post-Race Report: Martinsville

No. 38 MDS Trucking Ford Mustang
Started: 25th | Finished: 26th

"This race was a lot different than the Martinsville races that I've known in the past. It's a result of all the downforce we have. I think you saw Brad and his team dominate this race because they had something figured out. We were really tight and tighter in traffic. So, it was really a day to learn for most of us. There were a lot of different things happening today and it just didn't benefit us. We showed good speed this past weekend, but just didn't have the handling to match on Sunday. We'll review the information and come back stronger."

25 Starts | 3 Top-10 | 1 Top-5
Best Finish: 5th

"Martinsville is one of my favorite races on the circuit. There's a lot of history at that place and it's the kind of racing that NASCAR was built on. It can be such a tough track for drivers mentally and physically, running in traffic for pretty much all 500 laps. But that's what makes it exciting for fans to watch and I'm looking forward to putting on a good show for them.”

Ragan Post-Race Report: Fontana

No. 38 MDS Trucking Ford Mustang
Started: 19th | Finished: 25th

"We took a big swing at the car on Saturday night and it didn’t work out in our favor. The car was really tight during the first run, but Seth and the team were able to make a lot of great adjustments to get it handling better. Unfortunately, when you start that far off in a 400-mile race without a lot of opportunities to work on it, you just get behind the eight-ball too quick. I felt like towards the end of the race our Ford was a lot better, but it was a little too late at that point. I’m looking forward to getting to a short track like Martinsville where aero won’t mean quite as much."

"It will be interesting to see how the race plays out with the aero ducts and downforce in this package. Auto Club is a unique track and I really enjoy racing there. We’ve had some good speed so far this year, so I think we will continue to be competitive this weekend.”

Ragan Post-Race Report: Phoenix

No. 38 Select Blinds Ford Mustang
Started: 29th | Finished: 25th

"That was a hard fought day for our Select Blinds Ford. I felt like we made some good adjustments and could have contended for a top-20, but when my teammate Michael [McDowell] had his mechanical issues, I got some damage on my nose and we never could rebound from that. We worked on it every pit stop, but still had some big holes on the front end. We were fortunate that our engine ran the rest of the race and we were able to finish, so it was a small victory to not have a DNF, but I certainly wanted more."

"I’m really looking forward to going to Phoenix. Phoenix kind of races like a short-track and I think that the new downforce package is going to make for an exciting race. So again, this will be another racetrack that’s unique to start the schedule off with and I can’t wait to see all of our friends from Select Blinds as well.”

No. 38 CITGARD Ford Mustang
Started: 6th | Finished: 28th

"We just missed it by a little bit today. When we fired off, in the first corner of the first lap I knew that we were going to have a really tight balance on our CITGARD Ford. Seth and the team made great adjustments during the race and we had some great strategy. If we could have ever caught a caution, I think that it really would have worked out for us. But we just learned a few things on what to do and what not to do today and I’m sure that we will be better at the next mile and a half track that we go to."
