Landon Cassill • No. 38 Fr8Auctions Ford

NSCS Talladega Starts: 10
Best Talladega Finish: 4th

"I always love going to superspeedways, and I know my owner, Bob Jenkins, gets excited about going to superspeedways. Front Row has won a race there, and I’ve finished fourth at Talladega before, and I feel like I always find myself up front. I also feel like my car in Daytona, which didn’t get wrecked, was one of the best drafting cars that I’ve had on a superspeedway. So I think the guys are going to be able to take it back to the shop, take a look at it and make it even better.

"We've got Fr8Auctions back on board for the race, which is great. They're getting more and more involved with our program, and we'd love for it to keep growing. A good finish at Talladega would certainly be exciting for them."

"That long green-flag run at the beginning kind of hurt us. We made the car better after that, but we weren’t able to get the track position back. We got it back at the very end, but to move up more we needed it to be a 600-lap race and not a 400-lap race.”

Best Richmond Finish: 19th

"I'm really proud of our effort at Bristol last week. We used pit strategy to get up front, but staying up front was no fluke. The team gave me a good car and we had great pit stops and good strategy from Donnie (Wingo). I'm excited to go to another short track where I think we can definitely be a factor in the race again in our Pete Store Ford.

"Richmond is kind of cool during the daytime. The track gets really slick. The groove opens up. I feel like I really like how I run at Richmond, and I think I’m going to like it even more during the day. I've definitely had this one circled on my calendar.

"We had a lot to be proud of today. Track position is so important. We were good enough to keep it for a while, but we weren’t good enough to drive back up through there, but I don’t think anybody was. You just needed to have good track position all day, and we had it most of the day -- including leading a bunch of laps. I had a little tangle with the 14 but it was just a hard racing deal. I kind of went over my head a little bit. But overall, it was a really good day for our Snap Fitness team. I'm proud of the effort.”

"I like racing at Bristol. It's cool because it's going to be our sponsor Snap Fitness' first run at Bristol. Any time a friend or a sponsor asks, 'What's a race I should go to?', I always make them go to Bristol. Out of the group of races that Snap Fitness is sponsoring this year, Bristol is one that I actually picked out for them.

"You're one groove around the top of the race track. And if you want to pass someone, you've got to make a daring move to the bottom and get up in front of them in time to block them from getting around the outside of you. It makes it pretty entertaining for sure."

"The car was really finicky today and just made it hard to decide what kind of feedback to give Donnie (Wingo). I had to really think hard today about what the car was doing. Fortunately, our best adjustment came at the end of the race when it mattered most and we were able to pick up a few spots in the last 50 laps."

"We are making some good progress as a team. We are definitely learning things each week that we know can help us for the next race.

"I think Texas should be a lot like Atlanta because that track is getting slicker every time we go there. I think in qualifying you’re going to see the lines move around more than just sticking to the bottom. And during the race, I think the cars are going to be running all over the racetrack. Should be another great show with a lot of side-by-side racing. The fans are going to like it.”

"We tried some different pit strategy today. It didn’t kill us, but it didn’t work out to the favor that we wanted it to, but that’s just part of the risk versus reward. I have a hard time not taking those wave-arounds when you have the opportunity. We had a pretty good car, but it still needs to be a little bit better. We’ve got a lot of ideas to keep working on it, so I’m excited to move on to the next one and glad we get to go back to another short track in a couple of weeks."
