STATESVILLE, N.C. (July 31, 2018) – Bad Boy Mowers will celebrate a manufacturing milestone by going racing once again with David Ragan. The zero-turn mower manufacturer will join the No. 38 Front Row Motorsports team Sunday at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International after setting a new in-house production record for mowers manufactured.

The Batesville, Ark.-based company specializes in zero-turn radius lawn mowers and other commercial and residential lawn care equipment. Launched in 2002, Bad Boy Mowers offers a full line of equipment built in its Ozark Mountain headquarters and shipped to retailers nationwide in its own fleet of haulers. The year 2018 has seen the company’s largest manufacturing output in its history, with sales helping it to grow into the number-one selling zero-turn mower in the country.

“We’re happy to have Bad Boy Mowers back on our Ford Fusion,” Ragan said. “They’re making and selling more mowers than ever before, which is a big deal, and we want to congratulate them for that. They got a taste of superspeedway racing earlier this year with us at Talladega, and now we’re going to take them road course racing. It will be a cool weekend for everyone.”

“We are excited to be back with David Ragan and the No. 38 Front Row Motorsports team this weekend,” said Bad Boy Mowers spokesperson Bill Hurst. “We wish the team good luck this weekend and hope they have some ‘mow fun’ road racing at The Glen.”

While celebrating a record in 2018, Bad Boy Mowers is already preparing to launch its 2019 product line. Visit badboymowers.com to follow all company news and updates.

Sunday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race, the Go Bowling at The Glen, is scheduled to air live on NBC, with coverage beginning Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET.

No. 38 A&W All-American Food Ford
Started: 16th | Finished: 19th
"We had a lot of obstacles to overcome today. Our car wasn't that great but it was an improvement from Saturday. We had two speeding penalties and some brake issues at the end but we were fortunate to catch cautions at the right time. We had some good restarts in the A & W Restaurants Ford and came away with a top 20, so very happy about that. "

Ragan on Pocono: 'You get to see who's brave and who's a little crazy.'

Ragan on Pocono"We had a good race at Pocono in June. We finished 16th. I feel like our Front Row team executed the race really well. We probably had a 20th-place car, but we had a great pit strategy and we had a great final restart that got us some good track position on the lead lap to get a good finish. And I think that’s the whole trick at Pocono, is staying on the lead lap and giving yourself a chance to fight at the end of the race. Those restarts are really wild and track position is so key. If you have a similar car to the guy that’s running three or four spots in front of you, it’s very hard to drive up there and pass. So, momentum is important, and we had some good momentum at the end of that race.

"You can get really big runs on the restarts. It’s exciting going down the straightaways, and you get to see who’s brave and who’s a little crazy, taking things five- or six-wide. But when you get to the corners, you’ve got to funnel back down to two- or three-wide. That’s where you see some accidents happen. But, you have to be aggressive because, if you’re not, guys you’re racing around are going to beat you up on those restarts. When you have a good-handling car, you can be a little more aggressive because you know you have something that’ll stick when you get into a corner.

"We'll have A&W on our Ford Fusion at Pocono, promoting National Root Beer Float Day on August 6. If you go to an A&W on August 6, you can get a free root beer float and the chance to donate to Disabled American Veterans. It's a great cause and a good opportunity to enjoy an American classic."

Started: 24th | Finished: 18th
"Our MDS team did a nice job on pit road, and we made the car a little bit better throughout the night, so that’s important on these 400-mile races. You can’t get behind much and I felt like we were decent when they dropped the green flag, and as the track changed Seth (Barbour) and Angela (Ashmore) made good calls. We would have liked to finish in the top 15, but there were a few cars that were just a little better than us at the end. But I’m encouraged by the effort on the mile-and-a-half track to see some improvement."

Ragan to Host Shriners Hospitals for Children Patient at Kentucky

STATESVILLE, N.C. (July 10, 2018) – David Ragan and Front Row Motorsports (FRM) will host a patient of the Shriners Hospitals for Children-Cincinnati this weekend at Kentucky Speedway. Crimson Chambers, 15, from Arab, Ala., and her father will be guests of the team on Saturday.

In July of 2016, the Chambers family survived a home fire. Although everyone was able to escape, Chambers sustained second- and third-degree burns on more than 30 percent of her body. After a short stay at the local pediatric hospital, a surgeon there recommended that, for the best possible outcome, she should be transferred to Shriners Hospitals for Children–Cincinnati.

Crimson has had a total of five surgeries and endured intense physical therapy, and today she is learning to live her life as a burn survivor. She is still receiving treatment for scar management that will continue for the next few years.

Last year, Crimson attended Camp Ytiliba, Cincinnati Shriners Hospital’s summer camp for patients, and served as a Patient Ambassador at the 2017 Shriners Hospitals for Children Golf Classic in Las Vegas. Her family has organized several fundraisers in gratitude for Crimson’s excellent care, raising nearly $8,000.

Ragan will host Chambers at the track on Saturday and invite her to see his garage, tour his hauler and join Ragan in pre-race activities before Saturday night’s race. In addition, Ragan will visit the patients and staff of the Shriners Hospitals for Children-Cincinnati on Thursday. Ragan will spend time with the patients, show them his race helmet and sign autographs.

“I had the opportunity to meet Crimson earlier this year and it’s amazing the care she received at the Shriners Hospital in Cincinnati,” said Ragan. “She is a special young lady and is an example of the spirit of all the patients and staff at the Shriners Hospitals. For us as a race team, we’re proud to invite Crimson to the track and give her that special experience.

“We’re going to spend as much time as possible with all the patients of the Cincinnati Shriners Hospital on Thursday, too,” added Ragan. “I try to visit three or four hospitals, or even more, when my schedule allows each year. I’ve been to this hospital before, and they have a great facility, and I just like to bring a smile to the patients. I want more people to know more about what the Shriners Hospitals do, and help donate if they can.”

Ragan has been a member of Shriners International since 2012 and serves as its NASCAR ambassador. He visits Shriners Hospitals during the race season and raises awareness and funds for Shriners Hospitals for Children through various campaigns, public service announcements, donations and activities.

Ragan Says Kentucky Speedway Requires Compromise

7/11/2018

Ragan on Kentucky"Kentucky is a unique track. It’s really different on both ends. Turns 1 and 2 are kind of tight and have a lot of banking. Turns 3 and 4 are very sweeping with no banking. So, you really have to compromise your set-up a little bit because you go 25 miles an hour faster in one corner than the other. Racetracks like Kentucky continue to age year in and year out. There’s a new tire at Kentucky this year, so it’s something that the race teams will be paying attention to.

"It’s always a fun weekend. The Kentucky area has a great group of race fans that come from all around the Midwest. It makes for a fun Saturday night race."

"I felt like we were involved in about all the wrecks out there. It was a long night, but I can’t say enough about our pit crew. They just never gave up and kept fighting, and to come out of here with a top-15 is really like a win. We very well could have been in the garage with a 35th-place finish, but they kept working on the car and patching it up. We dodged the other wrecks, so I’m grateful for them and the Shriners for coming out and having some fun."

STATESVILLE, N.C. (July 3, 2018) – Shriners Hospitals for Children® will join David Ragan and Front Row Motorsports (FRM) this weekend at the Daytona International Speedway. Shriners Hospitals for Children will be the primary partner of Ragan and the No. 38 Ford Fusion team.

To bring awareness and celebrate, Ragan will host six-year-old Theodore Koulouris, a patient of the Tampa Shriners Hospital, Saturday. Koulouris was born with a genetic condition, hereditary multiple exostoses (HME), which causes abnormal bone growth. Koulouris and his family sought out the aid of the Tampa Shriners Hospitals for Children for its expertise treatment. The family now describes the hospital as their second home.

Ragan will host Theodore, his family, donors of the Tampa hospital and other Shriners on Saturday. Theodore, a huge NASCAR fan, will meet Ragan and enjoy a VIP experience in the garage, hauler and pre-race activities before Saturday night’s race. Last year, Ragan raced the Shriners Hospitals for Children Ford to a sixth-place finish after leading four laps late in the race.

Ragan has been a member of Shriners International since 2012 and serves as its NASCAR ambassador. He visits Shriners Hospitals during the race season and raises awareness and funds for Shriners Hospitals for Children through various campaigns, public service announcements, donations and activities.

“We came close to winning this race last year with Shriners Hospitals for Children on our car,” said Ragan. “It would be special to win with the Shriners and having Theodore and his family as our guests to celebrate with us.”

The Shriners are no stranger to Daytona Beach and Daytona International Speedway. The Shriners will again host their annual Imperial Session July 15-19 in the city and even use the speedway to host their Walk, Ride or Drive for LOVE event to support Shriners Hospitals for Children. Ragan will again be a part of the activities.

“Imperial Session is the opportunity for all Shriners to come together, and there is no better place than Daytona Beach,” added Ragan. “We bring our Front Row Motorsports Shriners Hospitals for Children Ford Fusion show car to the session and I ride in the parade through the city. It’s a special time and it’s another memory I have of Daytona.”
