Start: 6th (based on Friday's finish)
Finish: 20th
  • Stage One: 8th
  • Stage Two: 10th
  • Stage Three: 20th

  • Todd Gilliland started the e.p.t. 200 in sixth place based on the results of last night's race at Kansas Speedway. He was second within two laps, but fell back to eighth by the end of Stage One on lap 30 as his No. 38 Speedco Ford F-150 was too tight. He pitted for four tires, fuel and a wedge adjustment during the caution.

  • When the second stage began, Gilliland was ninth and he said the truck had better center turn than it did previously. The balance was better, but still not quite where he wanted it to be when the second stage ended on lap 60. He was in 10th place when he came to pit road for tires, fuel and more adjustments.

  • When the final stage began Gilliland was 12th. He moved all the way up to fifth by lap 83 and the team decided to pit for its final set of tires following a red flag for a multi-truck accident. He was able to avoid the numerous cautions which slowed the final stage of the race. Gilliland was running in eighth with six laps to go when he told the team his right-front tire was flat. He came to pit road which cost him a lap, leaving him in 20th place when the race ended.

Gilliland on Kansas: "Man that was a tough way to end the weekend at Kansas. We were decent all day, but not where we needed to be. We worked on the handling all afternoon and had a solid top-10 finish going until I felt the right-front tire going down. With that happening so late in the race, there was no way to get our lap back and recover from that. I have to thank my Front Row Motorsports team for all the hard work they have put in this weekend and all season. I also want to thank Speedco for their support. We're off next weekend before we head to Michigan, so hopefully we can come back stronger there and stay ahead of the cut line for the playoffs."
