Start: 10th (based on qualifying formula)
Finish: 13th
  • Stage One: 15th
  • Stage Two: 13th
  • Stage Three: 13th

  • Todd Gilliland started 10th at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway on Friday night in the No. 38 Pneumatech Ford F-150. This was the second race of the Round of 10 in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series playoffs. His truck was extremely loose early in the race and he fell back to 15th by the end of Stage One on lap 30. He pitted under the caution for four tires, fuel and a major track bar adjustment.

  • When the second stage began, Gilliland restarted 11th. He told the Front Row Motorsports (FRM) team his truck was still very loose. He was 13th when Stage Two ended on lap 60. He came to pit road again for tires, fuel and another track bar adjustment to try to tighten his truck up more. The FRM team had a great stop, helping Gilliland gain three positions on pit road.

  • As the final stage began, Gilliland was 10th and was up to eighth by lap 70. He still fought the handling of the truck and was able to pit a final time under caution on lap 84 while running 11th. He was back up to eighth with 40 laps remaining, but he was not able to maintain that as the race came to a close. Gilliland was 15th with 10 laps to go, but fought for a few more positions in the closing laps to finish 13th.

  • Gilliland is currently 10th in playoffs, 19 points below the cutline, heading into the cut-off race in the Round of 10 at Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday, Oct. 3 where two drivers will be eliminated from the playoffs.

Gilliland on Las Vegas: "Our truck was very loose all night. We took some big swings to try to make it better and they helped some, but not enough to run up front tonight. It's disappointing, but anything can happen at Talladega next weekend. We may be down in the points, but we definitely aren't out.

"I have to thank my Front Row Motorsports guys who work so hard on these trucks and I want to thank Pneumatech for coming on board to sponsor us for this race. It's always great to have a new sponsor and hopefully we can partner again with them in the future."
