"Our MDS Ford was a handful. We made a few improvements, but we just started off too slow. Our car wouldn’t roll the center and didn’t have good forward drive, so it made for kind of a long day. We raced hard, though, and might've had more to show for it if we'd caught any lucky breaks. But, we’ll work on it and be better when we come back to Martinsville in the fall."
Ragan on Martinsville"I love Martinsville. It's one of my favorite tracks. Just the whole weekend there has a good vibe to it. I like the short track scene, I love the racing, I love the strategy on Sunday. As a driver, I feel like I can have some good input on how to make the car better. You don't have to worry as much about aerodynamics. At Martinsville, it's more mechanical. It's more stuff that I grew up doing to my late model car that I raced on short tracks throughout the years. I really enjoy that, and I think it's a track where Front Row Motorsports can have a really good day and get a top-10 or top-15 if we have a good racecar.
"I think generally the Friday-Saturday-Sunday events work really well for the fans, and the TV networks and even for the teams. But this weekend just being on track Saturday and Sunday, it gives us an extra day after the West Coast trip in preparing the car. And I think the race is still going to be great on Sunday, whether we had all day to practice on Friday or just on Saturday."

"I got in a bad spot on a restart and lost the nose on our 1000Bulbs.com Ford and slapped the wall. We were really fortunate that when the tire blew, the caution came out and I was able to hit pit road with minimal damage. Our team did a really good job making adjustments. I felt like we had a top-20 car, but with the blown tire and the damage, we just got too far behind and hurt the balance a little. But we had a little bit of speed, so that was encouraging."
Ragan on Fontana"I enjoy the West Coast swing ending in California. Auto Club Speedway is a unique place, and I do enjoy racing there. It's got a worn-out track surface that allows you to run any lane on the racetrack that you desire. I think cutting it back to 400 miles was a good change. It gives drivers a little more sense of urgency. It's all about horsepower and getting through those corners. We've usually got really good horsepower with the Roush Yates engine program. You also have to try and take care of your tires.
"We've got 1000Bulbs.com on our Ford for the California race. They were new to our sport for a race last fall with our 38 team, and now they're back with us for several more races in 2018 and we're proud to have them. It's great to have partners like that come out to the track, bring a lot of people and have a lot of fun in Southern California."

"We fought really hard all day long. We had OK track position and that probably saved us two or three spots. I felt like if we ever could get our car just a little bit better, we would’ve been able to pass some guys in front of us. We just fought an ill-handling car but were encouraged with the speed we had. We’ll get our race cars handling a little better and then we’ll be able to run in the top 20."
Ragan on Phoenix"Phoenix is one of those tracks that’s kind of a combination of a short track feel but with the speed of an intermediate track. I think fans have really embraced that track. They’ve had a lot of sellouts in the last few years. The reconfiguration took some getting used to right off the bat, but it’s aged well. You’ve got multiple lanes in both corners and opportunities to pass on both ends. It’s just a cool track, and that’s what makes our sport so unique. We do go to a lot of different styles of racetracks. And Phoenix is a unique place. We don’t go to any other place like it.
"Phoenix is a fun race with a lot fans out there, and it really makes you need a good-handling car, good brakes and good forward drive. A lot of factors go into being fast at Phoenix."

"We made our Speedco Ford a little better from yesterday. And we had some really unique strategy in play to start the race. I felt like we just missed it a little bit and got two laps down, and we had to dig our way out of a hole because of that. But we have good potential in our car. I think we can still do a little bit better job on Fridays and Saturdays and even during the race. But I’m encouraged by the speed and look forward to getting better. I don’t think we’ve reached our full potential."
