Gilliland Collects Another Top-15 Finish for Front Row Motorsports

McDowell Finishes 21st on Sunday in Fr8Auction.com Ford

Front Row Motorsports (FRM) picked up its third top-15 finish of the season on Sunday at the Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Cup Series. Todd Gilliland raced the No. 38 Gary Martin Hays & Associates Ford Mustang to a 15th-place finish. Michael McDowell took the Fr8Auctions.com Ford to 21st.

For the second consecutive weekend, FRM finished with a top-15. Gilliland raced in the top-10 in the final stage of Sunday's race before finishing 15th at the checkered. The Gary Martin Hays & Associates Ford team were strong all afternoon and Gilliland spent the majority of the final stage inside top-10. He again proved his strength in the draft with the solid result.

Michael McDowell and the Fr8Auctions.com Ford Mustang team finished 21st after starting 12th. McDowell and the team began the race strong and found themselves in the top-10. At the end, the team was boxed in and unable to get back to the front.

Joey Logano won the race in his Ford Mustang.

Todd Gilliland, Driver No. 38 Gary Martin Hays & Associates Ford Mustang:

“It was a good day for the team. We were up in the top-10, but nobody wanted to make too many moves. I tried to make a move, and I got out of line with no help. That may have cost us the top-10 towards the end. You just had to really stay on the top or the bottom. If you moved out, you just lost positions. But, our Gary Martin Hays & Associates Ford was good all afternoon and it's a good finish to take to Texas."

Michael McDowell, Driver No. 34 Fr8Auctions.com Ford Mustang:

"It was an up and down day with our Fr8Auctions.com Ford. We had a good starting position, but started too free. We were then too tight at the end and didn't have good track position."

FRM travels to the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) this weekend. Zane Smith races the Speedco Ford F-150 on Saturday and Gilliland and McDowell are back with the Ruedebusch Development and Construction and Love's Travel Stops colors respectfully.
