Gilliland Dominates in Las Vegas to Finish Fifth After Late Race Caution

Todd Gilliland and the No. 38 Speedco team earned their ninth top-five finish Friday night at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway after leading the most laps in the race, but falling short at the end. A caution with only four laps left wiped away a huge lead for Gilliland and the Speedco team. On the restart, four trucks from the same team drafted past Gilliland. Gilliland finished fifth after leading a race high 66 laps and winning Stage 2.

The Front Row Motorsports team is now second in the Owners Championship.

“We have a lot of positives to take away from tonight's race," said Gilliland Friday night. "It was the most fun I've had racing the truck series. We just had a great truck. I wish we had a better push on the restart. The Thorsport trucks drafted to the win.

"I really want to thank my team at Front Row Motorsports. They brought a great truck. I want to thank Speedco and Love's Travel Stops. All our partners this year, we're having a good season. We can't do it without them.

"We can be disappointed that we didn't win, but we can take this momentum into the rest of the season and get a win or two."
