MOORESVILLE, N.C. (May 25, 2024) - Layne Riggs and the No. 38 Infinity Communications Group Ford F-150 made their Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway debut last night for a 134-lap event at the 1.5-mile speedway.
Riggs and the team brought a brand-new truck to the Charlotte Motor Speedway, Chassis # 200. Qualifying 5th for the event, Riggs and the team were ready to turn their luck around and carry over the North Wilkesboro momentum. Holding steady in the first stage, Riggs held on to his starting spot to finish the first stage in 5th. Riggs came to pit road under the stage-break caution for four tires and fuel and started Stage 2 in the top-10. Riggs picked up where he left off and finished Stage 2 in the 6th position. Riggs came to pit road for another routine four tire and fuel stop under the final stage break caution, but while pacing with one-to-go before the start of the final stage, ran over some debris left on the track, puncturing his right-rear tire. Riggs was forced to come to pit road under green to have the wheel replaced. With no cautions giving Riggs his lap back, he finished the race in the 28th position.

DRIVER LAYNE RIGGS:
"It's disappointing. We brought a brand-new truck to the track and showed Top-5 potential. Just want to thank Infinity Communications for the awesome paint scheme as well. We were still able to come home with some stage points, though. We're getting better as a team, Dylan (Cappello) and I really click, we just can't get this bad luck off of our back. It will change soon."
