MOORESVILLE, N.C. (June 28, 2024) - After a three-week break in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series schedule, Layne Riggs reconnected with the famed Love's Travel Stops Ford F-150 for a 150-lap event at the Nashville Superspeedway.

Qualifying 6th, his 6th Top-10 qualifying result of the season, Riggs and the team got to work early. Picking up spots and consistently battling within the Top-5 throughout Stage 1, Riggs finished the stage in 2nd. The 38 crew delivered Riggs fresh tires and fuel under the stage break caution, restarting Riggs in the third position. Riggs fought hard in the Top-5 in Stage 2 before debris got caught on the splitter of the No. 38, slowing the truck down. With three laps remaining in Stage 2, Riggs was involved in an incident with the No. 75. NASCAR officials deemed this incident as reckless driving and held Riggs and the No. 38 on pit road for two laps. Riggs finished out the stage to finish 14th before serving the penalty. Riggs fought his way to the end, but with few cautions, was unable to get back on the lead lap, finishing the race in the 25th position. Riggs now sits 80 points below the playoff cutline.

No. 38 Love's / Fleetguard Ford F-150:

DRIVER LAYNE RIGGS:

"The results don’t show how fast our Love's Travel Stops / Fleetguard Ford F-150 was. We got some stage points in the beginning, but the cards weren’t in our favor in the end. I'm happy to be back with my team. It was a nice couple of weeks off, but I'm ready to go back racing on a consistent basis."
