MOORESVILLE, N.C. (April 13, 2024) - Layne Riggs competed at the Texas Motor Speedway Friday night. Qualifying 7th in the Infinity Communications Group Ford F-150, Texas marked the third race that the rookie driver qualified within the top-10 (COTA, Martinsville). Riggs showed much maturity throughout the first two stages, holding his ground to earn stage points with 7th and 6th place finishes, respectfully. In the final stage of the race, the No. 38 Infinity Communications group Ford-150 got loose and hit the outside wall of turn two. Riggs and the team decided to retire from the race with a few laps remaining to reduce any more potential damage.

"We had a fast truck, it was actually the same one we had at Las Vegas (Motor Speedway), so it's nice to see that we have improved our 1.5-mile efforts. There's nothing positive about a 31st place finish, but we got some stage points and showed the world that our time is coming."
