MOORESVILLE, N.C. (March 24, 2024) - Layne Riggs competed on his first road course at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas this past weekend. Riggs naturally found his way around the 3.4-mile course and qualified the No. 38 Love's/ Delo Ford F-150 8th, his best qualifying effort of the year. Riggs wasted no time as the green flag dropped and took advantage of the chaos in turn one to put himself in second. Running laps and gaining on the leader, Riggs had an electrical problem that took him out of contention. The team quickly addressed the issue and finished the race 27th.
Start: 8th
Stage One: 33rd
Stage Two: 33rd
Race Results: 27th
No. 38 Love's Travel Stops / Delo Ford F-150:
DRIVER LAYNE RIGGS:
"It's disappointing for sure, especially with how the No. 38 Ford F-150 won in the past. It's the little mistakes that we need to work on, I can promise you something like this won't happen again. We have an off week to double-check our stuff and make sure it's right. Let the Martinsville hype begin!"
