NASCAR and Nashville Helped Kick Off Summer of Racing

McDowell Finishes 28th

Gilliland Crosses Line 35th

Front Row Motorsports (FRM) competed in the NASCAR Cup Series race at the Nashville Superspeedway. The track is located just outside Nashville, Tennessee- one of the most celebrated cities in America. NASCAR coming into town was the perfect combination for the sport to begin weeks of racing through the summer and into the championship run.

On the track, Ross Chastain won the race Sunday night with FRM having some speed, but maybe not all the luck needed for better results.

After qualifying 27th, Todd Gilliland and the No. 38 Serial 1 Premium E-Bikes Ford Mustang team had to fight some handling in dirty air. The team made big adjustments all night to find the right combination for Gilliland, but all blue ovals struggled in the finishing order. The Serial 1 Premium E-Bikes team just didn't have the speed to combat the handling. The team was disappointed and will bounce back in Chicago.

For McDowell and the No. 34 Love’s Travel Stops/ Fleetguard team, an early race pit road penalty put the team a lap down. McDowell was actually one of the fastest in the Ford camp Sunday evening before being put a lap down. Crew chief Travis Peterson used pit road strategy to eventually get McDowell back on the lead lap, but McDowell was mired in traffic at that point and finished 28th.

Todd Gilliland, Driver No. 38 Serial 1 Premium E-Bikes Ford Mustang:

"We are all disappointed in a weekend like this, but our team is strong. This hasn't been who we are. We'll be better in Chicago."

Michael McDowell, Driver No. 34 Love's Travel Stops/Fleetguard Ford Mustang:

"It stinks after the last two races we had, with two top-10 finishes, and come to Nashville and not have the race we wanted. After the penalty, Travis called a great race to get back to the lead lap there toward the end. The long run to the end didn't play into our strategy, but we will refocus and look for a great result in the streets of Chicago."

The team next races on the streets of Chicago. The inaugural street race is scheduled for Sunday, July 2nd at 5:30 p.m on NBC
