The NASCAR Cup Series made their annual trek to New England this past weekend. The Front Row Motorsports NASCAR Cup Series team raced at the "Magic Mile" New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Todd Gilliland and the No. 38 Chicago Pneumatic Compressors team finished 25th after getting better all afternoon.

Michael McDowell and the No. 34 FloRacing Ford team suffered damage after being caught in an accident. They finished 28th.

Gilliland and the No. 38 CP Compressors team had a large contingent of supporters at the track. He was hoping to move from his 26th-starting position to the front. The team worked through the handling all day on their Ford.

The team made major adjustments on pit road to better the feel for Gilliland and give the car more speed. Adjustments helped and the NASCAR Cup Series rookie climbed back to 25th at the end of the afternoon. It was a battle well fought for Gilliland.

"That was one of the longer days that we've had all season," said Gilliland. "We just didn't get the car the way we wanted. I passed some of those guys at the end, but we had to work really hard all day. I'm proud of the fight we put up to get a top-25.

"I wanted to give Chicago Pneumatic a better race. We had a great crowd show up and we had a lot of guests at the track from CP Compressors and others, too. On days like today, I appreciate that support to help push us through."

McDowell debuted the No. 34 FloRacing Ford Mustang in the NASCAR Cup Series this past weekend at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The red and white Ford was fast in qualifying and McDowell started 15th.

They slipped back in Stage One of the race, but were ready to make adjustments. That was just before McDowell got damage on a Lap 90 accident caused by another car. The team made repairs on pit road, but the best handling and speed of the car was ruined for the day.

McDowell and the team raced to stay on the Lead Lap, but just had too much damage. The team didn't quit working and finished 28th.

"It was a rough day," commented McDowell. "We missed the balance and then got damage in other peoples mess. That made for a long day. I hate it for FloRacing and their first race with us. We will regroup and head to Pocono."

The FRM NASCAR Cup Series teams now prepare to race at the Pocono Raceway this Sunday. The FRM NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team will race Saturday at the same track for the regular season championship.
