Smith and Birch Gold Group Team Finish 12th in Milwaukee

Zane Smith and the No. 38 Birch Gold Group Ford F-150 team had a rare Sunday afternoon race at the Milwaukee Mile. It was their second race in their playoff run.

Smith qualified 18th and the Birch Gold truck raced loose to start the 175-lap race. Smith still moved forward and ended Stage 1 in 14th. The team came to pit road and gave Smith adjustments. The truck was a bit faster and at the end of Stage 2, Smith was 10th.

The final run, the team worked hard to give Smith a faster truck. The team avoided cautions and Smith finished 12th. The team is sixth in points heading to the first cut-off race from 10 to 8 at the Kansas Speedway in two weeks.
